What are dermal fillers?

How long your dermal fillers last depends on several factors, including the formula used, your body’s personal response, and the area treated. Generally, dermal fillers produce results for 6-18 months, after which you can get retreatments to maintain your look. 

Do I need to schedule downtime after dermal filler injections?

You don’t need to schedule downtime following dermal filler injections, but your provider recommends you follow some basic steps to optimize your results. This includes cleansing treatment areas gently to allow the fillers to settle and diffuse properly. 

Avoid facials, lasers, and facial waxing for two weeks after the injection. For about two weeks, you’ll also want to stay out of extremely hot temperatures, including saunas, steam rooms, and heated yoga studios. 

Refrain from high-impact exercise for about 24 hours to allow the fillers to settle.
